The Global Skills Training Process

In training international business people to achieve highly effective levels of international manager-competency, Global Excellence adopts a multi-dimensional approach, which combines two complementary objectives:

  1. Developing cross-cultural skills (to minimize potential breakdowns in communication and to predict differences and to develop alternative, more effective strategies).

  2. Developing specific, culturally appropriate business skills such as presenting, negotiating, managing teams etc (to improve performance from the interpersonal or behavioral perspective).

How does the global skills process work?

We take your international operatives and other key staff through a structured developmental process of training and development. A training path through the global skills process is identified at the outset based on the organisation and the individual's needs with the objective of developing their 'cultural capital' -- their ability to 'grow' successfully across cultures.

They then move through the process in such a way as to provide them with the appropriate awareness level, cultural knowledge and specific skills training that will enhance their performance and increase their international effectiveness whilst developing the organisation's long-term 'cultural capital'.
